Material measurement technology for real-world applications
WipWare designs and manufactures specialized material-measurement technologies for mining, aggregates, blasting, and process industries.
Since 1986, our systems have helped operations measure particle size, shape, volume, and colour across field, laboratory, conveyor, and vehicle-load applications. From portable image analysis to continuous real-time monitoring, WipWare helps turn material data into better decisions.
Our technologies support applications in underground and surface mining, quarries, aggregate production, forestry, coal, and other industries where material characteristics matter.

“Because you can’t manage what you can’t measure!”
Better decisions start with better measurement.
WipWare’s core belief is simple: if you do not understand your current process performance, it is difficult to know where improvement is possible. Our systems help operations collect detailed material measurements that would otherwise be slow, difficult, unsafe, or inconsistent to gather manually.
That data can support blast evaluation, crusher performance, feed stability, quality control, process optimization, reporting, and operational improvement.

Material intelligence across the operation
WipWare technologies are built to help operations monitor and measure material wherever useful data is needed.
Our solutions support field and laboratory analysis, UAV-based fragmentation assessment, conveyor monitoring, truck and loader-load analysis, and site-specific measurement points. These applications help customers understand changing material conditions and use that information to improve performance, safety, and productivity.
Whether the goal is evaluating blasted material, tracking crusher feed, monitoring conveyor material, or supporting plant operators with real-time information, WipWare provides practical tools for measuring what matters.

Pioneers in optical granulometry since 1986
WipWare’s roots go back to the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, where optical granulometry was developed through the Waterloo Image Enhancement Process (WIEP), later renamed WipFrag.
The commercial introduction of WipFrag in 1986 helped establish WipWare as a pioneer in image-based particle size analysis for fragmented material. What began as a DOS-based command-line application has evolved into a modern suite of software and hardware technologies used across mobile, desktop, field, UAV, conveyor, and vehicle-load applications.
That history matters because WipWare has not simply followed the development of image-based material measurement. We helped create the category and have continued to advance it through practical industrial use.

Built for industrial measurement challenges
WipWare systems are designed for demanding environments where material data must be useful, reliable, and actionable.
Our work combines imaging hardware, analysis software, lighting, application review, calibration, reporting, integration, and long-term support. We listen to customers, understand their operating requirements, and design solutions that fit the realities of their sites.
From standalone analysis to continuous process visibility, WipWare helps operations measure material characteristics and use that information to improve the way they work.
