On August 14, 2019, WipWare’s Marty Wanner visited Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, to conduct a hands-on fragmentation analysis lab with Bachelor of Mining Engineering Technology students. Working alongside Dr. Takis Katsabanis at the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining, students explored traditional sieve analysis techniques and compared their results with digital photoanalysis using WipFrag software.

The lab included reviewing the WipFrag iOS App and working with WipFrag for Windows. Also, the lab compared the manual sieve analysis results with WipFrag’s results. Features and benefits of both processes were discussed, and the features of Solo y Reflejo online analysis systems were also reviewed.

Marty disfrutó mucho trabajar con los estudiantes de BTech, aprender más sobre técnicas de tamizado manual y compartir recursos.
