What is Vertex TM?
The Vertex Instrument is a purpose-built, stand-alone system that is designed to detect oversize material or colour (two colour differentiation). This instrument is very user-friendly, small, economical designed for mining applications.
It is a simplified version of our typical online system with a robust autonomous design. This compact system can be installed on virtually any size of conveyor belt improving safety and efficiency while reducing maintenance costs and energy consumption.
Detect Oversize Material or Colour
There are two types of Vertex Instruments: Vertex S and Vertex C.
Vertex S is a purpose-built system that detects oversize material allowing automation and improved crusher output optimization efforts.

- Ideal for crusher gap control, detecting broken screens
- Potential ore sorting applications
Vertex C is specifically designed to detect the colour of rock/ore on a conveyor belt system in real time. The onboard colour camera allows the unit to detect and highlight the two (2) colours of interest and has the ability to send signals to an alarm/PLC/event process.

- Works well with control systems for real-time colour-based ore sorting

- Ability to generate colour averages over time to analyze trends for quality control
Monitor, measure and detect oversize or material colour on conveyor belts in real-time.
How it Works
When material is present, the camera acquires image samples which are processed onboard. Proprietary edge detection is used to render a polygon network around each particle to instantly identify oversize or detect up to two material colors. Because Vertex is capable of detecting oversize or contamination in your process, it can reduce energy and maintenance costs, enhance personnel safety and improve throughput and quality control procedures.
