How it Started<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

WipWare invented optical granulometry at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada with the creation of WIEP (Waterloo Image Enhancement Process)<\/a>, later renamed WipFrag. The commercial introduction of WipFrag in 1986 positioned the company as the industry leader in optical granulometry of fragmented material.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

From DOS to iOS<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like other long-standing, industry-standard software packages, the WipFrag of today bears little resemblance to its primitive ancestor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original WipFrag was a command-line application that ran on DOS from floppy discs. This was at a time when even importing a small image into a computer was a challenge. The latest version runs on iOS devices, Android devices and Windows desktop to analyze your images. These images can be taken with an iPad, iPhone or Android device using our auto-scale feature, or imported from another camera device. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
