WipWare at CIM Expo 2018 Vancouver

WipWare had a blast at the CIM Expo at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, BC from May 6-9th. The CIM Expo, Canada’s premier mining trade show, featured hundreds of companies showcasing the latest in mining equipment, tools, technology, services and products. This year a record 5500 participants registered.

Our team arrived Saturday to prepare for the CIM Expo. They had an opportunity to enjoy some of the sights and sounds of Vancouver. Included were the Gastown Steam Clock, Vancouver Public Library and the beautiful Vancouver Harbour.

As a point of interest, underneath Vancouver, Canada, there runs a series of steam pipes connected to a generating plant at Georgia and Beatty Streets. The system provides heat to most of the downtown core, and provides the steam for the whistles of the Gastown steam clock.

There was lots of activity throughout the 3-day CIM Expo event at the booth. Tom Palangio, Thomas Palangio and Marty Wanner were there showcasing the Solo Conveyor Belt Particle Size Analysis system. As well, they demonstrated WipWare’s WipFrag software products.

After a busy 3-day event, a wonderful gala was held. It was great speaking with old friends and new while enjoying the beautiful fireworks. Tom and Thomas had the opportunity meet and speak with long time colleagues and friends: Robert McClure with RAM and Takis Katsabanis from Queen’s University. WipWare enjoys demonstrating our WipFrag technology to mining students like Taki’s students at Queen’s University.

Thank you to everyone for a successful and enjoyable CIM 2018 Expo.
