WipWare is proud to be part of Hillhead 2014, the largest quarry show in the world which kicked off this morning in Buxton, England.
Our European Value Added Reseller, Syscom BV, from the Netherlands, is displaying a WipWare Solo bulk material particle size analysis instrument at Booth C PC14. WipWare's President Tom Palangio, Technical Officer Thomas Palangio, and Director of Marketing Elaine Ball are all in attendance.
At the last show in 2012, 459 exhibitors took part while 16,675 visitors attended over three days. Overseas visitors came from 87 countries and represented approximately 8% of total.
The showground covers an area (gross) of approximately 140,000m2. The net stand space occupied in 2012 was 55,590m2 and the demonstration areas extend to around 30,000m2.
There are three categories of working demonstration area:
Quarry Face: large wheel loaders and excavators load dumptrucks from a 10,000-tonne rock pile and hydraulic breakers are used for secondary breaking.
Rock Processing: a wide variety of screens and crushers are used to process material into single-size or graded products.
Recycling: well over 1,000 tonnes of waste material is sorted, crushed, shredded, screened, and stockpiled into reusable aggregate or waste material.
Industries served by the event include: quarrying, mining, recycling, heavy construction, materials handling, concrete, asphalt, road-surfacing, civil engineering, plant hire, demolition and landfill.
